SolarFlex Outlast 660i-L combines 660 watts of solar collection, a 270Ah heated lithium battery and an inverter/charger to support camping without electrical hookups. It can power designated outlets and a compatible soft-start air conditioner from stored battery energy. Your runtime depends on electrical demand, battery charge and available sunlight, so monitoring consumption is essential. Understanding how the components work together helps you plan off-grid stays and decide whether future upgrades would be useful.
The package includes equipment for collecting solar energy, storing it and supplying compatible RV circuits:
Confirm the labels and manuals for your installed equipment. Component specifications and package availability can vary by model and production date.
SolarFlex Outlast 660i-L performs three connected functions.
Solar collection: Roof panels convert sunlight into DC electricity. The charge controller regulates that energy to charge the battery.
Energy storage: The battery holds energy for use when production is low or unavailable, including overnight.
AC power: The inverter converts battery DC power into AC power for its connected outlets and appliances. When acceptable shore power is available, the charger function can replenish the battery.
Solar production can offset consumption during daylight, but the panel rating does not represent constant output. Shade, clouds, season and panel conditions affect how much energy reaches the battery.
Outlast 660i-L can support multiple compatible appliances when their combined demand remains within the system’s limits.
Computers, televisions and device chargers have different demands from microwaves, electric heaters and air conditioners. Consider both continuous consumption and any startup requirements.
Before an off-grid trip, test your normal routine while parked. Observe battery readings as you turn on equipment, and note which combinations create a substantial increase in demand.
The number of available outlets does not indicate how many high-draw appliances can operate together. Inverter output, battery capability, wiring and circuit protection all matter.
The package supports operation of its designated compatible soft-start air conditioner from battery power.
Soft-start equipment helps manage startup demand. The air conditioner still consumes energy while running, and other appliances share the available battery and inverter capacity.
There is no universal air-conditioning runtime for this package. Outside temperature, thermostat setting, compressor cycling, battery charge and other loads affect the result.
Check the monitor during operation and reduce demand when necessary. Solar may replenish some energy while cooling, but it does not guarantee that collection will keep pace with consumption.

The SmartSolar controller provides information about solar production and charging. The SmartShunt tracks battery-bank measurements used to calculate estimated state of charge and time remaining.
Battery-monitor settings must match the installed bank for useful estimates. A capacity change requires a settings review.
Time remaining is a guide based on current conditions. It can change quickly when a large appliance starts or stops. Watch the overall charge trend rather than treating one reading as a guaranteed number of operating hours.
The inverter/charger can recharge the battery when an acceptable AC source is connected. Charging speed depends on the equipment’s settings, available supply and other electrical loads.
Follow the inverter/charger instructions for shore-input and charging-current limits, especially when using a lower-rated connection.
The heated Dragonfly battery also has specific temperature requirements. Its heater helps bring the battery into an acceptable charging range when operated according to the installation instructions.
A heated battery does not guarantee unrestricted charging or storage in every weather condition. Follow its charging, discharging and storage limits, and account for the energy used by battery heat.
Keystone identifies dealer-supported expansion options for owners whose electrical needs change.
For systems equipped with 220-watt panels, the published guidance lists adding one or two compatible 220-watt panels and a second 50-amp controller using the prepared location. Systems originally equipped with 330-watt panels have different panel-matching guidance.
Additional options include compatible portable solar equipment and a second heated Dragonfly battery with the appropriate parallel cable kit. Have your dealer verify current parts, mounting space, wiring and protection requirements before purchasing.
More battery capacity increases storage. More solar collection improves replenishment under suitable conditions. Neither automatically increases inverter output.
The following specifications apply to the listed 220-watt panels:
Panel temperature ratings do not describe the battery’s permitted operating range. Confirm the installed panel specifications before planning expansion.
The listed charge controller has IP43 protection for its electronics and IP22 for its connection area, with PV reverse-polarity, output short-circuit and overtemperature protection.
Use the SolarFlex 660i-L Quick Start Guide to review setup and monitoring instructions before departure.
Compare your expected appliance use with observed battery consumption and charging performance. Keep a reserve and an alternative charging plan for periods of poor sunlight.
