Step-by-Step Guide to Replacing the Coleman AC Air Filter

  1. Loosen the Thumbscrews:
  2. Start by loosening the thumbscrews that secure the cover of the air conditioner.
  3. Lower the Cover:
  4. Carefully drop or lower the cover to expose the air filter.
  5. Check Filter Orientation:
  6. Notice the direction of the replacement filter. Look for arrows that indicate the direction the filter should be placed. The airflow should go up into the filter to effectively remove particles.
  7. Remove the Old Filter:
  8. Take out the old filter from its housing.
  9. Install the New Filter:
  10. Insert the new filter, ensuring that you follow the orientation indicated by the arrows on the side. Proper placement is crucial for optimal air filtration.
  11. Secure the Filter:
  12. Move the holders back into place to secure the new filter.
  13. Reinstall the Cover:
  14. Replace the cover and tighten the thumbscrews to ensure it is securely fastened.
