Keystone’s Key TV system offers a hassle-free way to enjoy TV in your RV. Designed with G6 coax cable and auto-sensing technology, Key TV eliminates the need for boosters and A/B switches, automatically switching between over-the-air (OTA) antenna signals and cable when available. Let’s explore how Key TV works and how to set up over-the-air, cable, and satellite TV.

Key TV Overview: How It Works

• Auto-Sensing Technology: Key TV automatically detects and switches between OTA antenna signals and park cable.
• G6 Coax Cable: Designed with straight cable runs, enhancing signal quality and reliability.

Setting Up Key TV in Three Modes

1. Over-the-Air (OTA) Antenna Setup

• Step 1: Ensure the blue light on the Key TV Multi-Source Signal Controller is ON.
• Step 2: Ensure no cable is connected to the CATV port on the controller, as this may interfere with antenna signals.
• Step 3: Connect the TV cable to the CATV/ANT port on the wall plate.
• Step 4: Turn on the TV, set the source to TV.
• Step 5: Access the menu, select Channels > Air, and run an Auto Channel Scan.
• Note: Perform these steps on each TV every time you move to a new location.

2. Park Cable Setup

• Step 1: Ensure the blue light on the Key TV Multi-Source Signal Controller is ON.
• Step 2: Connect the external park cable to the CATV port on the Key TV controller. Always use RG6 coaxial cable, with a recommended maximum length of 25 feet.
• Step 3: Connect the TV cable to the CATV/ANT port on the wall plate.
• Step 4: Turn on the TV, set the source to TV.
• Step 5: In the menu, select Channels > Cable, then perform an Auto Channel Scan.
• Note: Each TV in the RV will require a channel scan when relocating.

3. Satellite TV Setup

• Step 1: Ensure the blue light on the Key TV Multi-Source Signal Controller is ON.
• Step 2: Connect the portable satellite cable to the SAT port. Use RG6 coaxial cable, with a maximum length of 25 feet.
• Step 3: Connect an RG6 coaxial cable from the wall plate’s SAT port to the receiver’s Satellite In port.
• Step 4: Connect the receiver’s Out port to the TV’s HDMI port using an HDMI cable.
• Step 5: Turn on both the TV and the receiver, set the TV source to the correct HDMI input, and follow instructions from your satellite provider.

Tips for Optimal Use

• Auto Channel Scans: Each time you change locations, perform an auto channel scan on all TVs.
• Cable Quality and Length: Use high-quality RG6 coaxial cables, and limit cable lengths to 25 feet for the best signal.
